Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A broad and elongated area of low pressure near the
west-central coast of Florida is producing a large area of
disorganized showers and thunderstorms. This system has moved
little over the past few hours, but is expected to move
northeastward across Florida, and move offshore of the U.S.
Southeast coast within the next day or so. As a result,
unsettled weather in the form of numerous showers and
thunderstorms with gusty winds will persist over the
east-central and southeastern Gulf waters through Fri night as a
trough lingers over the eastern Gulf. Hazy conditions due to
agricultural fires over Mexico will continue to affect the
western Gulf reducing visibility to around 3 nm at times through
at least the next couple of days.
