...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN WALTON COUNTY THROUGH
615 PM CDT...

At 538 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles south of De Funiak Springs, moving west at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Eglin Air Force Base, Freeport, Bruce, Eucheeanna, Portland, New
Home, Bunker, and Rock Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
