...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LEWIS AND CLARK
COUNTY THROUGH 730 PM MDT...

At 657 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles south of Wolf Creek, or 17 miles northwest of Helena, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Helena, Marysville, Canyon Creek, Black Sandy State Park, Austin, and
Spring Meadow Lake State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Lake Helena and Upper Holter Lake, get out of the
water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can
strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to
safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
