...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN...
SOUTHWESTERN DOUGLAS...OSAGE...COFFEY AND SOUTHEASTERN LYON COUNTIES
THROUGH 100 AM CDT...

At 1225 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles northwest of Burlingame to 4 miles east
of Reading to near Madison. Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects and
         vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Emporia, Osage City, Burlington, Carbondale, Overbrook, Lyndon, Lebo,
Burlingame, Pomona, Scranton, Waverly, Olpe, New Strawn, Quenemo,
Melvern, Hartford, Gridley, Neosho Rapids, Reading, and Olivet.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 35 between mile markers 133 and 169.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 152 and 163.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
east central Kansas.
