Another windy day can be expected today with northwest winds gusting from 35 to 45 mph for much of the region. Areas on and around the Prairie Coteau will have stronger gusts of 45 to 50 mph. Afternoon humidity will drop to between 20 and 35 percent for most locations, with the lowest readings forecast to occur across central South Dakota. On Friday, light and variable winds are forecast in the morning with high pressure overhead. But as the day progresses, they should favor a southerly direction as humidity drops to between 25 and 35 percent.
