...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT LITTLE RIVER...SEVIER...HOWARD...
EASTERN MCCURTAIN...NORTHERN BOWIE AND NORTHEASTERN RED RIVER
COUNTIES THROUGH 630 AM CDT...

At 529 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles west of Vandervoort to 13 miles west
of Wickes to 16 miles northwest of De Queen to near Broken Bow to
near Idabel to 14 miles east of Manchester. Movement was east at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
De Queen, Ashdown, Nashville, New Boston, Mineral Springs, Dierks,
Horatio, Foreman, Umpire, Idabel, Broken Bow, Hooks, De Kalb,
Lockesburg, Wilton, Winthrop, Gillham, Ben Lomond, Arkinda, and
Athens.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
