.Discussion...
High pressure remains in control over the western Atlantic.
Fire sensitive conditions will continue with a moderate drought and
minimal rain chances over much of east central Florida through
Tuesday. Diurnally driven isolated to scattered showers and
isolated lightning storms are forecast today and tomorrow
afternoon with the greatest chance over the western interior
(20-40%), as well as the Treasure Coast to Okeechobee county. Rain
chances increase mid-to-late week with scattered showers and
lightning storms forecast.
Temperatures are expected to rise into the 90s areawide mid-to-late
week with heat index values in the 100-107 degree range by
Thursday as onshore flow becomes less predominate. Winds from the
east at 10-14kts with gusts to 20kts are forecast in the
afternoon through Wednesday. Dispersion values will be Generally
Good to Very Good through midweek.
Fog potential and other remarks... widespread fog is not expected.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
