Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
215 PM CDT Sun Jun 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Recent rainfall and good to excellent recoveries will keep fire
weather concerns low for areas east of the Pecos River. Dry and hot
conditions will persist each day through much of this week with poor
recoveries west of the Pecos River and particularly across the Davis
Mountains and Culberson County. Min RHs will reach critical levels
nearly areawide. Winds stay on the lighter side. Storm chances
increase late in the week and lightning starts will need to be
monitored for areas west of and including the Davis Mountains.
