...A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS AND HEAVY SHOWERS WILL IMPACT
SOUTHWESTERN FULTON...SOUTHERN HERKIMER AND NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY
COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 401 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms and heavy showers near Richfield Springs, or 10 miles
south of Ilion, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 30 to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Ilion, Herkimer, Little Falls, Canajoharie, Mohawk, Frankfort, Fort
Plain, Dolgeville, St. Johnsville, Ephratah, Ohio, West Winfield,
Newport, Stratford, Middleville, Poland, Cold Brook, Jordanville,
Northwood, and Cedarville.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 29 and 30.

Localized rainfall rates my approach a half an inch to an inch an
hour which may cause ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage
flooding of low lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized poor drainage and street flooding. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.
