...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NESS...PAWNEE...RUSH AND
NORTHWESTERN EDWARDS COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM CDT...

At 1148 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Hanston to near Hoisington. Movement was
north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Otis, Timken, and Shaffer around 1155 PM CDT.
  Bison and Rush Center around 1205 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include La Crosse,
Nekoma, Alexander, Bazine, Hargrave and Loretta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
south central, central, southwestern and west central Kansas.
