...Discussion from Monterey...

Well above average inland temperatures continue today before
temperatures cool down Friday into the weekend as onshore flow
strengthens. Friday into the weekend, slightly below average
temperatures continue along the coast and seasonal to slightly above
average temperatures continue inland. Good daytime RH retention
along the coast and poor to fair daytime RH retention inland with
values dipping into the upper 20`s to mid 30`s across interior
mountains. Fair to good overnight RH recoveries for most areas with
poor to fair RH recoveries across portions of the Santa Lucia`s,
Diablo Range, and interior San Benito county.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...Discussion from Los Angeles/Oxnard...

The warm and dry conditions peaked on Wednesday and will continue to
improve each day through Sunday with little change well into next
week. Despite the improvement, minimum humidities will still lower
to between 15 to 30 percent over the interior areas. The marine
layer will also expand and deepen some. Onshore winds will continue
peak through Friday, but stay gusty over the interior through most
of next week. Expect gusts of 25 to 40 mph in the interior
mountains and valleys each afternoon and evening, strongest in the
Antelope Valley. Because of the gusty winds and dry fine fuels,
there will remain an increased risk for grass fires, with the
highest risk through Friday.
