beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A high pressure ridge will
persist across the N waters tonight into Wed night, shift S to
the central waters Thu, persist into Sat while slowly weakening,
and then shift E of the region Sat night. A weak tropical wave
will move W and pass near or just S of the far S waters later Thu
into Thu night, and then move onshore over the far SE states Fri.
A weak cold front will stall near 40N Fri night, and then lift N
away from the area as a warm front Sat into Sat night. Another
cold front will approach from the W and NW Sun and Sun night.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
