...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN ELK...WILSON...
MONTGOMERY...CHAUTAUQUA...SOUTHERN WOODSON AND SOUTHEASTERN GREENWOOD
COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM CDT...

At 928 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles southwest of Toronto to near Longton to
5 miles southwest of Cedar Vale. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Independence, Neodesha, Fredonia, Cherryvale, Caney, Sedan, Cedar
Vale, Altoona, Moline, Longton, Elk City, Toronto, Buffalo, Fall
River, Peru, Chautauqua, Elk Falls, Havana, Elgin, and Bolton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
south central and southeastern Kansas.
