.DISCUSSION...

Winds will continue to be breezy through the afternoon out of the
north/northwest with gusts of 20 to 30 mph, highest along the
eastern slopes of the Sisseton Hills. Winds will decrease west to
east across the forecast area this evening as a high pressure system
moves in over the region. Overall dry forecast expected into much of
next week. Minimum relative humidity for both this afternoon and
Monday afternoon range from 40 to 60 percent, lowest over central
South Dakota.

...MODERATE FIRE DANGER...

Marginal weather conditions or lowering moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that there is
some potential for a fire to spread.  Any outdoor burning should be
closely monitored.


The outlook for Monday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low to high category.
