An area of low pressure will extend from south central to northeastern South Dakota today. Winds are expected to be relatively light, with gusts less than 20 mph. While winds will be primarily out of the north, they will stay out of a southerly direction over portions of east central South Dakota, around Watertown. Relative humidity this afternoon will fall between 40 and 55 percent, lowest over portions of south central South Dakota. A series of reinforcing areas of low pressure will surge in from the south, with rainfall chances increasing from late this afternoon on. Wet conditions are expected Wednesday through Friday, with relative humidity values staying above 70 percent.
