.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms expected today over eastern and
southeastern SD into west central MN through the afternoon. A few
strong to severe storms are possible over portions of north central
to south central SD this evening. Minimum relative humidity values
this afternoon will range from 45%, around and west of the Missouri
River, to 50-60% east of the Missouri River. Values drop down to 25-
30% for Sunday over portions of north central to south central SD.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Sunday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
