Strong south winds this morning will shift to northwesterly and
remain gusty through about mid day, tapering from west to east. Peak
wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are still expected to be widespread with
some gusts closer to 50 for the northeast tier of South Dakota
including the Sisseton hills region. Very mild temperatures this
morning, currently running in the 70s across and east of the James
valley, represent the high temperatures today, with stalled or
falling readings throughout the day. Temperatures tonight will dip
into the upper 30s to low 40s.
