Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
1232 PM CST Tue Nov 25 2025 /1132 AM MST Tue Nov 25 2025/

Strong winds will continue to gust out of the northwest 40 to near
60 mph over eastern South Dakota this afternoon, before diminishing
through the late afternoon and evening hours.

Snow will also continue this afternoon, and when combined with the
strong winds, will lead to blowing snow and visibilities falling to
one half mile or less at times. In far northeast South Dakota and
into west central Minnesota, blizzard conditions are expected through
the early part of the evening. Additional snowfall amounts of a
dusting is expected in central South Dakota. In northeast South
Dakota and west central Minnesota, an additional 3 to 6 inches of
snow is expected. The snow will come to an end by mid evening.

Behind this system, high pressure will settle over the region on
Wednesday and remain into Thursday. Additional snow is possible over
the region on Friday and into the weekend, so monitor future
forecasts if you have travel plans after Thanksgiving.

Lows tonight will be in the teens. With cold air settling into the
area on Wednesday and remaining into the weekend, highs will be in
the 20s to low 30s.
