Temperatures today will top out in the 50s, with a few 60s over south central South Dakota. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s to low 30s by daybreak Monday. Light winds and ample low level moisture will result the development of patchy fog overnight tonight into Monday morning, mainly along the James River Valley and across the higher elevations of northeastern South Dakota. A cold front sinking across the area Monday morning will result in slightly cooler air, with highs Monday in the upper 40s to low 50s. A storm system will move through the region Monday night into Tuesday, bringing light rain Monday night that will quickly transition to snow on Tuesday as temperatures hover in the upper 20s to low 30s. There is a 30 to 60 percent chance for greater than an inch of snow over northeastern South Dakota Tuesday through Tuesday night, with the highest amounts expected over Marshall County. $$ 06
