.DISCUSSION...Hot weather continues as thunderstorms spark this afternoon.
Min RHs will get to around 25-30% for most spots with 20-25% in
the Yukon Flats. Isolated thunderstorms over most of the terrain
with widely scattered thunderstorms in the AK Range and SE
Interior near Tok and Northway. Winds are once again mostly out of
the west, but less than 10 mph.
Tuesday, the thermal low lifts north and it will be active, with
the potential for widely scattered to scattered wet thunderstorms
across a broad swath of the Interior. The best chance for scattered
wet thunderstorms will be from the Ray Mtns to the Dalton Hwy
Corridor to the W Yukon Flats. Moderate chance for wetting rains
for the central Interior. Temps will be a few degrees cooler with
minimum RHs 5-10 % higher than today.
Wednesday is less unstable with a return to isolated wet
thunderstorms favoring higher elevations.
