Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
429 AM MDT Tue Jun 11 2024

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Drier air is moving into
Colorado from the northwest. Humidities will be a little lower
today, with less thunderstorm activity. A few strong storms with
wetting rains are still possible along and south of Interstate 70.
Winds will be light except near storms.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...
Hot and dry conditions are possible Wednesday and Thursday. Relative
humidities could drop as low as 12-17 percent across the plains
Wednesday afternoon. Then again, humidities drop as low as 12-17
percent for areas south of I-70 by Thursday afternoon. Winds should
remain light and under warning criteria both Wednesday and Thursday.
Thus, keep fire weather conditions marginal. By Friday, scattered
storms and showers return. Smoke dispersal reaches very good to
excellent Wednesday for all areas; By Thursday, very good to
excellent conditions exist for the mountains, foothills, and urban
corridor.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
