Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
519 PM EST Sat Nov 22 2025

With high pressure overhead, skies will start off tonight mostly
clear and winds will be light. This will allow temperatures to
fall quickly through the evening, dropping into the upper 20s and
30s before midnight. Some patchy fog is possible, mainly in
central and eastern Pennsylvania. During the second half of the
night, temperatures will be steady or even increase in spots as
clouds increase ahead of the next upper level disturbance. Light
rain or snow showers are possible in the northern tier by dawn,
with no accumulation expected.

Sunday will be breezy with lingering rain and snow showers
possible across portions of northern Pennsylvania. High
temperatures will range from around 40 degrees in the northern
Alleghenies to the lower 50s in the southern valleys. Winds will
gust 25 to 35 mph.

Dry and tranquil conditions are expected Monday followed by
periods of rain Tuesday into Wednesday. Temperatures will trend
milder into midweek and peak 10 to 15 degrees above the historical
average on Wednesday with highs in the low 50s to low 60s.

Temperatures will turn decidedly colder Thanksgiving Day into the
holiday weekend. Brisk and blustery winds will add an additional
chill. The arrival of much colder air crossing the Great Lakes
will ramp up the potential for lake effect snow accumulation along
the Lake Erie shoreline into the snowbelts in northwestern
Pennsylvania beginning on Thanksgiving Day. Several inches of
snow could in the northwest and snow showers penetrating farther
inland could impact holiday travel into Friday and Saturday.
