Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
135 PM EST Mon Nov 17 2025

Deep low pressure centered over the Canadian Maritimes will
continue to provide a gusty northwest flow of cold air across
Pennsylvania today with scattered snow showers and flurries
across the central and northern mountains into the early evening
hours.

The low will gradually loosen its grip on our local weather later
tonight and Tuesday as it moves off to the north. After a brief
period of tranquil but chilly conditions tonight and Tuesday
morning under mainly clear skies, another low pressure system will
move from the Ohio Valley to the Virginias by Tuesday night. This
weather feature will spread a thick shield of clouds across the
region Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night with some light rain
across the southern half of the state Tuesday afternoon and early
Tuesday night. The air will be marginally cold enough for the
precipitation to be mixed with or fall as wet snow across the
higher terrain.

Northwest winds won`t be as strong today, but occasional gusts up
to 35 mph are still expected. High temperatures today will vary
from the mid 30s over the northern mountains to the upper 40s in
the southern valleys.

Low temperatures early Tuesday will be in the low to mid 20s
across the northwest mountains and mid to upper 20s over the
remainder of the state. Highs Tuesday will be close to those of
today.
