A few stronger squalls are possible along and north of US Route 6. Temperatures will fall in the wake of the cold front this afternoon accompanied by a brisk northwest wind. Expect highs to be in the mid 20s in the northwest and upper 30s in the southeastern cities. Low temperatures tonight will drop into the single digits and lower teens, which is near record cold across Pennsylvania. A storm system passing to the south of Pennsylvania could bring a few flurries to the south of the Turnpike on Friday. Highs will be in the lower 20s in the highest elevations of the northeast, but above freezing in southwestern PA. Otherwise, below normal temperatures and mainly dry weather will continue through the weekend and into next week. $$
