Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
515 AM EST Sun Nov 23 2025

A warm front will move east across the Commonwealth this morning,
followed quickly by a weak cold front this afternoon. The main
weather factor today will be a west wind gusting between 30 and 40
mph at times, from the late morning through the afternoon hours.

Highs this afternoon will vary from around 40 degrees across the
Northern Mountains ft the state to the lower 50s in the southern
valleys.

A large area of high pressure will build northeast up the Ohio
River Valley on Monday with just some areas of mid level clouds
mixing at times with the otherwise abundant sunshine. Monday`s
highs will be a few degrees warmer than today.

Temperatures will trend milder into midweek and peak 10 to 15
degrees above normal on Wednesday with highs in the low 50s to
low 60s.

Temperatures will turn decidedly colder Thanksgiving Day into the
holiday weekend. Brisk and blustery winds will add an additional
chill. The arrival of much colder air crossing the Great Lakes
will increase the potential for lake effect snow accumulation
along the Lake Erie shoreline into the snowbelt of northwestern
Pennsylvania beginning on Thanksgiving Day. Several inches of snow
could in the northwest and snow showers penetrating farther
inland could impact holiday travel into Friday and Saturday.
