417 PM EST Tue Dec 9 2025

A deep low moving across the Great Lakes area overnight and
Wednesday will bring a round of winter weather to the Keystone
state.

Several rounds of snow of varying intensity will be across the
northern half of Pennsylvania through Wednesday. The snow is
expected to mix with and change to rain across eastern and
southern areas during the day on Wednesday.

Snow accumulations north of interstate 80 will range anywhere
from 2 to 6 inches, while locations south of interstate 80
generally see a light coating with up to 2 inches in the Laurels.

After the steady precipitation comes to an end, a period of
upslope and lake effect snow showers, some heavy at times, is
possible later Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning across
portions of western Pennsylvania. Winter weather advisories are in
effect Wednesday and Wednesday night for portions of northern and
western Pennsylvania. Gusty winds will prevail as well.

Lows tonight will vary from the low to mid 20s across central and
eastern sections of the Keystone state, to the lower 30s across
the far west. Highs on Wednesday will range from the mid to upper
30s across much of northern and western Pennsylvania to the lower
40s across the southeastern part of the Keystone state. Lows
Wednesday night will range from the teens across the north and
