Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1045 AM EST Sat Dec 6 2025

Mostly cloudy conditions are expected today with light snow and
flurries developing southeast of Lake Erie this afternoon. Snow
will expand over the Allegheny Plateau before spilling into the
Laurel Highlands later this afternoon and into the early evening
with little to no snow accumulation expected.

High temperatures today will be close to the historical average
ranging from the lower 30s in the northern Alleghenies to the
lower 40s in the Philadelphia metro area. Tonight will be partly
to mostly cloudy with minimum temperatures in the 20s area wide.

Light snow accumulation is likely to result in winter driving
conditions across the northwest Alleghenies and Laurel Highlands
Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. 1 to 2 inches of snow if
probable in the far northwest part of the Keystone State and may
cause minor travel impacts particularly near the Interstate 80
corridor.

Arctic air will build into the Commonwealth Sunday night through
Monday night. The period from Monday night into Tuesday morning
will be bitter cold to frigid with minimum temperatures in the
single digits and low teens.

A cold weather pattern reinforced by more arctic intrusions will
support below average temperatures into mid-December. Several
quick moving disturbances tracking east of the Rockies will bring
opportunities for snow between from Tuesday into the next weekend.
