Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
500 AM EST Sun Nov 16 2025

A potent cold front was pushing across the Lower Susquehanna
Valley early today, accompanied by scattered brief rain showers.

Following this front will be 18 to 24 hours of very windy
conditions and much colder temperatures. Peak wind gusts will be
between 45 and 50 mph, with some of the ridgetops and locations to
the east of gaps in the ridges seeing gusts up to 55 mph.

Peak wind gusts will decrease by about 10 mph on Monday, but it
will still be quite windy.

As the cold air deepens and winds in the lowest 7 thousand feet
of the atmosphere become well-aligned from the northwest today
and tonight, a few extensive bands of Lake Effect snow will
develop and and impact the Northwest Mountains of the state today
and tonight with significant accumulations of 3 to 6 inches.
Locally up to around 8 inches of snow will fall over parts of
Warren and McKean counties.

Although accumulating snow is most likely along and north of
I-80, light snowfall of a coating to one inch is possible as far
southeast as the I-81 corridor.

High temperatures today, ranging from the Upper 30s across the
Northwest Mountains to the low and mid 50s across the Lower
Susquehanna Valley and reminder of Southeastern Pennsylvania,
will occur this morning with steady or slowly falling
temperatures for the afternoon hours.

Lows tonight will vary from the mid to upper 20s over the Northern
and Western Mountains to the Low and Mid 30s throughout the Lower
Susquehanna Valley and South Eastern PA.
