After a mild start on Wednesday, temperatures will quickly fall after sunset, reaching the mid 20s to lower 30s by sunrise on Thanksgiving. Showers will overspread Pennsylvania from west to east today, before tempering off to mainly light drizzle later tonight. More showers are expected on Wednesday, as the cold front moves across the region. Colder air moving across the Great Lakes late Wednesday into Friday will result in bands of snow showers, mainly across the northern and western mountains. The potential exist for heavy snow across the northwestern portion of the Keystone state. Winter storm watches are in effect for portions of the northwest late Wednesday night into Friday evening. High temperatures today will range from the mid 40s across the mountains, to the mid 50s elsewhere. Although the rain will be steadiest during the day on today, periods of rain and drizzle will continue tonight into Wednesday. Lows tonight will be in the 40s. Highs on Wednesday will range from the 50s across the north and west to the mid 60s across the southeast. Conditions will turn much colder and windy from Thanksgiving Day into the holiday weekend. Gusty winds will add a significant chill to the below normal temperatures. $$ Martin
