National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
220 PM MDT Mon Jun 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns will be elevated for FWZs along and west of
the Laramie Range this afternoon. Very gusty winds up to 40-50mph
from the southwest behind a stationary front and minimum humidity
readings will be near critical thresholds of 10-15 percent. A cold
front will sweep through the area late tonight. Behind it, the
wind prone corridors will see gusts up to 50-60mph at times through
early Tuesday morning. Well below normal temperatures for Tuesday
and Wednesday will keep fire weather concerns at low. Gusty and
erratic winds are possible where showers and thunderstorms are
present this afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.
