A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect starting at 6 PM this evening for Iron and Ashland Counties, with highest snow accumulations expected in the higher elevations. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Lake effect snowfall accumulations of 4 to 10 inches are expected Sunday into Monday morning over portions of Ashland and Iron counties. Snowfall rates of 1 inch per hour are expected on Sunday. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Iron and Ashland Counties until early Monday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Waves will build up to 5 feet along the South Shore tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Breezy northerly winds up to 30 knots continue on Sunday through Sunday night with waves up to 6 feet along the South Shore, creating hazardous conditions for small craft. Conditions hazardous to small craft will likely return on Tuesday and persist into Thursday.
