A few, localized gusts of 45mph are possible in higher terrain areas along the South Shore. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected today with the strong winds, and minimum relative humidity values in the 40 to 50 percent range. Fires may spread quickly. Additionally, isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon. Strong to severe storms are not expected, but an occasional storm enhanced wind gust to 50 mph is possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday There is a chance for frost Monday night and again Tuesday night. A Gale Warning is in effect for most of western Lake Superior into tonight. Wind gusts will be slightly weaker from Sand Island, WI to Saxon Harbor, WI, and Small Craft Advisory is in effect. Strong northwest winds off the North Shore terrain will cause gales to linger late into the night. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Winds diminish through the day Monday, then increase again late Monday into Tuesday, with wind gusts of 25kts possible near Grand Marais.
