This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

South Shore lake effect snow showers will continue today. A
Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for Iron County in
Wisconsin through today for accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. There
will also be scattered snow showers elsewhere across northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Most areas will see little if
any accumulation. However, lake effect showers may be found
downwind of any open inland lakes and produce light accumulations
within a short period of time and visibilities as low as a half
mile are possible.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Additional accumulating snow is expected Saturday and Saturday
night, especially across northwest Wisconsin and the Interstate 35
corridor of northeast Minnesota. There is a 60 percent chance of
2 inches or more of snowfall by Sunday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Skywarn spotter activation will not be needed this afternoon or
tonight.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior
and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight

Gale warnings are in effect for waters north of Silver Bay until
this afternoon as wind gusts exceeding 35 kts have been observed.
Small Craft Advisories remain in effect for remaining near shore
waters as northwest winds gradually decrease over western Lake
Superior. Gusts of up to 35 knots this morning will decrease to 30
knots or less late in the morning and this afternoon. Waves of 5
to 8 feet along the South Shore this morning will gradually
diminish through today and tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Another period of conditions hazardous to small craft arrives
Sunday into early next week as northwest winds increase.
