Additional Elevated fire-weather concerns exist over portions of central Montana. ...Wyoming into Colorado/Nebraska... Sustained dry downslope winds of 20+ MPH out of the west-northwest, combined with 15-20% relative humidity, will support at least Elevated fire-weather conditions. Though meteorological conditions could reach Critical criteria, fire-weather concerns are mitigated by an overall lack of receptiveness of fuels to wildfire ignition and spread at this time. ...Central Montana... Strong northwesterly surface winds of 25-30 MPH, with gusts up to 50 MPH, are forecast across portions of central and eastern Montana. However, minimum relative humidity is expected to remain around 20-25% with generally cooler surface temperatures.
