Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ
121 PM MST Sun Dec 7 2025

.SYNOPSIS...Dry conditions with warming temperatures will
continue through the coming week.

&&

.DISCUSSION...Nothing has changed from previous forecast
discussions. Arizona will be entrenched under a dry northwest
flow aloft into next weekend. High pressure located well off the
southern California coast today, will gradually approach Arizona
over the coming days becoming established over California by next
Friday or Saturday. This classic late fall pattern will deliver
dry weather and warming daytime temperatures. High temperatures
are expected to climb 10 to 15 degrees above average by Wednesday
and Thursday. Otherwise, daytime breezes will be light from a
northwesterly direction with a few periods of high clouds as weak
passing disturbances brush Arizona. Dry conditions and mainly
clear skies will result in strong nighttime radiational cooling
which will result in local drainage breezes of 10 to 20 mph south
of the Mogollon Rim.

No significant change in the current pattern is anticipated
through at least early next week.
