...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southern and eastern Dallas County.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Heavy rain earlier this morning will likely cause urban and
    small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas
    will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between
    0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dallas, Garland, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Rowlett, Desoto,
    Cedar Hill, Duncanville, Lancaster, Balch Springs,
    Seagoville, Glenn Heights, Highland Park, Hutchins, Cockrell
    Hill, Sunnyvale, Wilmer, Ovilla, Ferris and Combine.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
