.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

- Mild temperatures are expected through the week.

- Light precipitation chances at times today and Wednesday.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:

Models have weak waves moving through the forecast area at times today,
tonight and Wednesday. There has been isolated areas of light
precipitation overnight. Chances for light precipitation could
continue at times through Wednesday which could be either light
rain, sprinkles, light snow or flurries.

Upper ridge is expected on Thursday followed by a dry zonal flow
aloft into the weekend. Look for mainly dry weather and above
normal temperatures through the weekend.

Models and ensembles are pointing towards a pattern change early
next week with colder temperatures. There is good agreement on
colder temperatures at this point with some variations on
how cold it will be. There are wide variations in precipitation
potential in the models and ensembles at this time for next week.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
Increased PoPs in some areas today and in all areas for Wednesday.
Increased winds some for Wednesday. No other changes were made.

There is low to moderate confidence of mixed precipitation
occurring through Wednesday afternoon. There is high confidence
temperatures will stay near to 10 degrees above average through
the weekend.

Update time: 1710Z/1010 am

Flight Category: Mostly VFR, IFR west of KGGW this morning

Synopsis: IFR ceilings exist this morning at Malta, some of these
clouds could drift to near KGGW through 00z/5 pm this afternoon.
Otherwise, VFR conditions expected today. Patchy fog is possible
tonight from Fort Peck Lake to Glendive area along with a few
light rain showers.

Winds: Light and variable this morning become NW to SW 5 to 10
knots this afternoon and light and variable tonight. TFJ

EQUIPMENT: KOLF`s ASOS telecomm circuit is down and can not be
dialed into. Therefore, AMD NOT SKED for this TAF until repairs
can be made.
