538 FXUS65 KGGW 170934 AFDGGW Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Glasgow MT 234 AM MST Mon Nov 17 2025 .DISCUSSION... KEY MESSAGES: - Mild temperatures are expected through the week. - Light precipitation chances return on Wednesday. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: A split flow pattern is developing over the region with upper ridge over the Canadian prairies and upper low moving out of the central Rockies. This will result in mild temperatures today, and generally dry conditions although a few sprinkles could occur with proximity of low moving into the central Plains. Split flow become more prominent with low digging into southern California, and mostly zonal flow from the Pacific Northwest into the northern plains. A weak shortwave sliding along the Canadian border could produce light precipitation, mainly rain, on Wednesday. High pressure then dominates the region into the weekend. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: Generally no changes from NBM. Did adjust visibility this morning to add the potential for patchy fog. && .AVIATION... VFR, slight chance IFR/LIFR. Mid to high clouds are moving across the region, inhibiting or clearing out fog and low clouds. A little fog could redevelop in the river valleys around sunrise, but widespread or prolonged drop in flight conditions are not anticipated.
