Today through tonight...

An upper ridge is centered over New Mexico and Texas with the
northern edge of the ridge over Kansas and Nebraska. Northerly winds
are across south central and central Nebraska and north central
Kansas with a surface high centered over eastern Wyoming and western
Nebraska. Temperatures across the area are currently in the upper
30s to lower 50s. The surface high will move east of the area today,
and as a result, the winds will transition to the southeast. High
temperatures today will be in the upper 50s to lower/mid 60s. Light,
southerly winds will be across the area tonight with low
temperatures in the mid 30s to low/mid 40s.

Tuesday through Sunday...

Winds across south central and central Nebraska and north central
Kansas will become southwest to westerly on Tuesday with a surface
trough centered over northern Nebraska. This will result in
temperatures warming up into the 70s across the area Tuesday
afternoon. The surface trough will move eastward Tuesday evening and
night with a cold front and northerly winds moving into the area.
Low temperatures Tuesday night will be in the mid 30s to mid 40s. A
surface high will be across the region on Wednesday with high
temperatures in the upper 50s to mid 60s. The surface high will move
east Wednesday night with winds becoming southerly. Low temperatures
Wednesday night will be in the mid 30s to low 40s. Winds will become
westerly on Thursday with temperatures warming up into the mid 60s
to low 70s. Winds will shift towards the northwest Thursday night
with low temperatures in the mid/upper 30s to mid 40s. Cooler
temperatures are expected Friday with highs in the upper 50s to mid
60s. Temperatures Friday night will be similar to those from the
previous night with winds becoming southwest to westerly in response
to a surface trough to the north. An upper trough will be over the
region on Saturday with a cold front pushing through the area with
gusty northwest winds. High temperatures on Saturday are expected to
be in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Temperatures Saturday night will drop
into the upper 20s to mid 30s behind the front. Northerly winds will
remain over the area on Sunday with a surface high present. High
temperatures Sunday will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s.
