This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible this evening
across a limited portion of the area, with coverage more on the
lower end. No severe weather is expected.

Heat index values will peak around 97 to 104 degrees across the
area this afternoon and early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heat index values may reach 100 degrees in a few places mainly
east of highway 281 late Wednesday afternoon and early evening.

A cold front will sag south across the area, bringing another
chance for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night and again
Thursday night. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible,
mainly Wednesday night. Hail up to the size of quarter with
wind gusts up to 60MPH may be possible in a few of the more
stronger storms. Isolated areas of heavy rain are possible which
could cause minor flooding.

Heat index values are expected to exceed 100 degrees for a
majority of the area each day between Saturday and next Tuesday.
Sunday and Monday is expected to be the warmest days with heat
indices as high as 110 across a few isolated eastern areas.
