This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Late This Afternoon and Tonight.

Mainly between 5 PM and Midnight, at least isolated to scattered
thunderstorm activity is possible almost anywhere in our forecast
area, with the earlier development favoring our western counties
(counties west of Highway 281), before activity gradually shifts
farther east later in the evening.

A few storms this evening could be strong to severe, with the
main hazards being hail up to around the size of ping pong balls
and/or wind gusts up to around 60 MPH. In addition, a few places
could pick up at least 1 to 2 inches of rain in a short time,
possibly causing mainly minor/short-term flooding issues.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Our next thunderstorm chances initially arrive Tuesday afternoon,
but with with the highest chances and coverage of storms focused
Tuesday night into Wednesday. A few storms during this time frame
could be strong to severe, but details regarding this potential
threat are still a bit unclear.

Additional thunderstorm chances exist Thursday into Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to report hail of any size, along with any
wind gusts of at least 50 MPH and possible flooding that might
occur through this evening.
