Temperatures will be on the increase the next couple of days behind
an upper level disturbance that brought fairly widespread rainfall
to the region overnight. Expect afternoon temperatures to reach the
upper 80s and lower 90s this afternoon...eventually climbing into
the mid to upper 90s both Sunday and Monday afternoons. While there
is a small chance for a strong to severe thunderstorm this evening
and possibly again in spots Sunday evening...most areas will remain
dry for the remainder of the weekend. The next more widespread
rainfall event will come Tuesday night and Wednesday as a cold front
descends across the region...dropping temperatures into the 70s for
Wednesday afternoon.
