.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1206 PM CST Fri Dec 5 2025

Cloudy skies and chilly temperatures continue this afternoon. High
pressure will move in from the west and clouds will begin
clearing out from NW to SE during the day Saturday in response.
As skies clear and winds become southerly, WAA will bring
daytime highs closer to average for this time of year. Inland
temperatures will generally be in the 60s through the weekend with
highs closer to 70 degrees along the coast. Lows for Saturday
night will be slightly warmer

A dry cold front will move through Sunday night and bring
overnight temperatures down into the 30s to 40s. Northerly winds
will keep daytime highs in the 50s to near 60F on Monday. Another
warming trend will bring highs back into the 60s to low 70s
Tuesday through the end of the week.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAF Issuance)
Issued at 530 AM CST Fri Dec 5 2025

Low cigs and isolated to scattered shra expected today. Best
chance of shra will be from I-10 to the coast. Cig forecast is
somewhat complicated today. Confidence is relatively high that
there will be clouds in the IFR to low-end MVFR level. However,
there is a chance that the deck could become scattered, at least
occasionally, resulting in VFR conditions. For now, the forecast
shows mostly MVFR cigs through the rest of today and into tonight.
Most shra activity is expected to be over by 21Z. However, there
may be another round of scattered shra by tomorrow morning near
the coast.

.MARINE...
Issued at 1206 PM CST Fri Dec 5 2025

Scattered to widespread light to occasionally moderate showers
will persist through tonight. These showers will exit to the east
by Saturday morning. Light northerly winds expected through early
Saturday afternoon with winds veering to onshore by Saturday
evening. Patchy sea fog may develop in the bays and gulf waters
Saturday night into Sunday as warmer air overruns cooler water
temperatures. Onshore winds will not last long as winds turn
northwesterly Sunday afternoon following the passage of a dry cold
front. Strong northwesterly winds of 20-25kt with gusts to 30kt
develop Sunday evening and continue into Monday morning. These
strong winds will also lead to seas of 5-7ft during this
timeframe. Conditions improve through the day on Monday with light
north to northeasterly winds expected by Monday night.
