Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
250 PM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024

.DISCUSSION..
Rain chances will continue to increase heading into this evening
as a tropical disturbance to our southwest continues to push
towards the coast. Rain could become heavy at times for locations
south of the I-10 corridor, particularly around Matagorda Bay.
This will be accompanied by increasing east to southeast winds, with
wind gusts along the coast reaching upwards of 30 mph at times.
Conditions will begin to improve on Thursday as rainfall pushes
out of the area.
