...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Alabama, including the following
  counties, DeKalb, Jackson and Marshall.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 531 PM CDT, Emergency management reported heavy rain in
    Jackson county and Scottsboro due to thunderstorms. Flooding
    is already occurring. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
    Jackson and DeKalb counties.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Rainsville, Henagar, Sylvania, Fyffe,
    Hollywood, Powell, Grant, Section, Ider, Pisgah, Valley Head,
    Hammondville, Mentone, Dutton, Langston, Rosalie, Martintown
    and Larkinsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
