Warm and pleasant weather conditions prevailed across Kansas today
with mostly sunny skies and light winds. Afternoon highs were in
the 60s and 70s.

Surface high pressure will slide southeast tonight while a cold
front surges southward from western Nebraska into northwest Kansas
during the overnight hours. Overnight lows will range from the low
30s in the Nebraska panhandle to the middle 40s in central
Oklahoma.

The cold front will continue to race southward across the region
during the day on Saturday. This will bring cooler temperatures
to the region along with increasing northwest winds. Northwest
winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected over much of the Heartland.
Daytime highs will range from the mid 40s in northern Nebraska, to
the warmer mid 70s over eastern Oklahoma.
