Cold and tranquil weather conditions prevailed across central and
eastern Kansas last night. Predawn temperature were in the teens
with clear skies and light winds.

Dry weather and sunny skies will be in store for the central
plains today as surface high pressure moves eastward into
the lower Mississippi valley region. South winds and warmer
temperatures will return to the area. Daytime highs will range
from the colder 30s in eastern sections of Nebraska and Kansas, to
the warmer 50s in western Kansas and central Oklahoma.

Quiet weather continues for tonight across middle America with
winds switching around to the north, as surface high pressure
builds southward from the Dakotas into Nebraska. Overnight lows
will range from the teens in northern Nebraska to the low 30s in
central Oklahoma.
