Rather tranquil weather encompassed Kansas overnight. Under mostly
clear skies, predawn temperatures were in the 60s to near 70
degrees, warmest over eastern Kansas.

Isolated hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms are possible from
late this morning through early evening over central and eastern
Kansas. Severe weather is not expected, and most locations will
remain storm-free. Meanwhile, additional thunderstorms are
possible by late afternoon over western Kansas, where a few severe
thunderstorms are possible. Forecast high temperatures are in the
80s to low 90s across the state.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will spread east
across the state overnight, impacting locations mainly west of
Interstate 135, as a strong storm system approaches from the
west. A few severe thunderstorms over possible during the evening
over western Kansas. Forecast low temperatures are in the 60s,
with cooler 50s over far western Kansas.
