Showers and weak thunderstorms made their way through portions of
the Central Plains early this morning as a cold front slowly
pushed through the region. Ahead of this boundary, temperatures
in the 50s and 60s were observed in eastern Nebraska and most of
Kansas and Oklahoma, while areas behind the boundary saw
temperatures in the 30s and 40s across western Nebraska and
eastern Colorado.

Slight chances for showers and storms will continue in portions of
eastern Nebraska and northeast Kansas throughout the day today as it
moves through the area. Otherwise, most of the region is expected to
remain dry. High temperatures will largely preside in the 70s and
80s this afternoon from Nebraska to Oklahoma.

Rain chances will linger into the evening and overnight hours
tonight across south central and eastern Kansas. A few strong to
marginally severe storms are possible with the strongest activity.
Low temperatures will range from the 40s across South Dakota,
Nebraska, and northwest Kansas to the 50s and 60s across the eastern
half of Kansas and Oklahoma.
