A cold front bisected Kansas this afternoon. A few showers and
isolated storms were impacting parts of northeast Kansas while
much of the area remained dry. Afternoon high temperatures ranged
from the upper 60s and lower 70s in northwest Kansas to the mid
and upper 80s in parts of southeast Kansas.

Showers and thunderstorms may linger over parts of eastern Kansas
tonight where a few strong storms are possible. Lows tonight will
fall into the lower 40s in extreme western Kansas while far
southeast Kansas bottoms out in the mid 60s.

Showers may linger over parts of southeast Kansas on Saturday
while much of central and western Kansas remains dry. Highs on
Saturday will range from around 60 in northwest Kansas to near 80
in eastern Kansas. Breezy northwest winds will be common in the
wake of a cold front on Saturday with speeds of 25 to 35 mph over
central and western Kansas.
