A cold front moved through northwest Kansas early this morning
bringing gusty northwest winds while seasonably mild conditions
persisted in central and eastern Kansas. Under clear to partly
cloudy conditions, early morning temperatures ranged from the
upper 30s in parts of western Kansas to the 40s in central and
eastern Kansas.

A cold front will move across the state today with strong
northwest winds expected in it`s wake. Winds may gust over 50 mph
in parts of western Kansas during the afternoon hours with some
areas of blowing dust possible. Afternoon highs are expected to
rise into low to mid 50s in northwest Kansas while far southeast
Kansas sees highs around 70.

It will be turning much colder in northwest Kansas tonight with
lows falling into the low 20s while lower 30s will be common in
central and eastern Kansas. Breezy northwest winds will persist
over the area with wind chills in the teens and 20s.
