Warm and breezy conditions prevailed across central and eastern
Kansas today. Afternoon temperatures were in the 80s with south
winds of 15 to 25 mph.

A cold front will sag slowly southward across the central plains
tonight. Scattered showers and storms are expected to develop
along the cold front and move slowly northeast. A few of the
stronger storms could produce small hail and gusty winds up to 55
mph. Brief periods of heavy rainfall are also possible. Overnight
lows will range from the cooler upper 30s in western Nebraska to
the mid 60s in eastern Oklahoma.

The cold front will continue to sag slowly southward on Monday
with a continuation of showers and storms behind the front
drifting southeast. Daytime highs north of the front will be in
the much cooler 50s and 60s. Meanwhile much warmer readings in the
70s and 80s will be south of the front over southeast Kansas and
central Oklahoma.
