A ridge of high pressure was situated across central Kansas this
morning. This resulted in light winds and clear conditions
allowing temperatures to fall into the teens. Early morning
temperatures ranged from 12 degrees in Norton to the lower 20s in
southeast Kansas.

Mostly sunny conditions are expected today with breezy southerly
flow returning to western Kansas. This will allow temperatures to
begin to moderate with highs reaching 60 in extreme western
Kansas. Those in eastern Kansas will have to wait with another
cool day expected. Afternoon highs in the central and eastern
Kansas are expected to range from the upper 30s in far northeast
Kansas to the mid 40s in central Kansas.

Breezy south winds will overspread Kansas tonight with lows
falling into the upper 20s and lower 30s in eastern Kansas while
far western Kansas sees lows near 40.
